SOS Medlink started in 2002 the first in-home medical network in Los Angeles. For several hundred years, the practice of medicine was delivered in the patient's home. It made sense: sick people can't or do not want to go anywhere, let alone wait in an emergency room for several hours in the middle of the night. The fact that the entire doctor-patient relationship has been stripped from the privacy of the home is an unfortunate casualty of modern American health care.
